Grandma Mae's Country Naturals Grain Free Dry Cat Food Chicken 6lb

A usristic recipe for long-term urinary tract health
$29.99
Our Chicken Meal & Herring Meal Recipe is a non-GMO, grain free dry food made with the highest quality chicken meal and herring meal—two of cats’ favorite proteins. Like all our cat foods, this recipe is Uristic, a word that means optimized for long term urinary tract health. The formula’s 1% Methionine, found naturally occurring in our fresh ingredients and supplemented to optimal levels, raises the acidity of urine. This helps break down urine crystals and in turn reduces inflammation of the urinary tract and the chance of infections. Feeding Guidelines
  • General Feeding
    1. Adjust portions as needed to maintain your cat's optimal weight.
    2. Adults can be fed on a "free choice" basis: serve the daily amount in the morning
and allow nibbling throughout the day.
    3. If feeding set meals, divide the daily amount into equal portions.
    4. Always provide fresh drinking water.
    5. Consult your veterinarian if unsure about portion size.

  • Transition to Grandma Mae's
    1. Mix ¼ new food with ¾ current food for 2–3 days.
    2. Gradually increase new food and decrease old food over 7–10 days.
    3. Continue until feeding only Grandma Mae's Country Naturals.

  • Kittens
    1. Transition from mother's milk to solid food at 4–5 weeks.
    2. To ease adjustment, moisten food with water (1 part water to 3 parts food).
    3. Daily portions vary by age, activity, and temperament.
    4. Provide fresh water at all times.
    5. See your veterinarian regularly.

  • Pregnant or Nursing Cats
    1. Feed 2–3 times the adult amount.

  • Measuring
    1. One standard 8 oz measuring cup = approx. 4.25 oz of food.
